What is high water-content mud modifiers MT series?
MT series are mud modifiers which enable high water-content mud generated
at a construction site to be solidified in a short time,
and to be carried away instantly by a dump truck.
What are the features of high water-content mud modifiers MT series?
【Registered NETIS】
It is registered with the New Technology Information System of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan. (Registration number: TH-160012-A)
【Applicable to all types of muddy soil】
It can be used at various sites, such as polluted sludge generated by various kind of construction, excess mud water generated by propulsion and shield tunneling, dredged rivers, sedimentary soil form ponds. It can also be used to dispose of mud generated by disasters. Recently, it has been adopted by Japanese steel, ironworks, and cement manufacturers because it can quickly treat muddy slag and coal from steel and cement.
【Mud can be modified in a short time】
When this product is added to the mud and mixed with a backhoe, the mud can be solidified (plastic state) in about 15 minutes. The treated soil can be loaded onto a dump truck instantly and quickly removed from the site.
【Mud can be modified by adding a smaller amount】
This product can be modified with a very small addition amount of about 1 to 8 kg/m³. In addition, since the product is packaged in polyethylene, it can greatly reduces the amount of waste by about 95% compared to bulk bag for cement and lime.
【Picky about ease of use】
It is possible be modified with only backhoe and pit. In addition, MT-2 and MT-3 contain components that reduce adhesion to metals, making it difficult for the treated soil to adhere to buckets and dump trucks, greatly improving workability. Furthermore, when using quicklime to treat mud, the hydration reaction generates a lot of heat, but MT series does not generate any heat.
【Can be used with cement and lime】
We used MT series to mix cement for strength testing and confirm that MT series has almost no adverse effect on the strength development of cement. However, when cement or lime is added to MT-1 treated soil, the originally absorbed water will be partially discharged due to the principle of osmotic pressure.
【Can be used even in windy sites】
MT-2 and MT-3 are applied by dust-control treatment, dust scattering will be reduced even at a windy site such as harbor construction.
【Environmentally friendly and safe products】
The pH of this product is neutral, there is no need to worry about the leaching of hexavalent chromium after mixed. It is an environmentally friendly product that meets all 28 Environmental Quality Standards. Fish toxicity tests have also been conducted, and it has been confirmed that there is no adverse effect on Japan Himedaka fish.
